We have 9 rooms here at Breakout Chester, which means there’s lots of choice when it comes to planning your perfect escape room day out.
As it’s the summer holidays, we’re often asked which rooms are most suitable for families to enjoy. Although our rooms are designed primarily for adults, there’s some which are more appropriate and a lot of fun for teams with children in!

Cursed Carnival: 3 / 5 difficulty
A wonderful family trip to the travelling carnival has left you with a bizarre prize, Francesca the doll! Since you got home, weird things have been happening and horrible nightmares have plagued you all. You’ve realised that the only way to break this curse is to return Francesca to the carnival before the time runs out!
Wanted: 3 / 5 difficulty
Our cowboy room Wanted is a wild west experience like no other! A night of gambling in the bar has taken a dark turn, as you manage to lose your gun and gold to the game. With an amazing country soundtrack, and puzzles that capture the Western theme perfectly, you’ll have one hour to break back into the saloon, at night, to retrieve your precious items from the cabinet and escape to freedom before you wake the neighbours and the Sheriff is called!
Dark Magic: 3 / 5 difficulty
You and your fellow wizards have discovered a secret passage into a room long forgotten by time. You edge slowly inside, and your blood runs cold. You feel the presence of an ancient Dark Magic! Your Wizarding skills will be put to the test, as you prepare to subdue this ancient power!
